mount unmounting

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello;

I'm new at this and have been using linux for only a few weeks. Anyway -

I am running RH9.

I create a directory of:
 /mnt/windows
I edit /etc/fstab to add :
/dev/hda1  /mnt/windows  auto auto,owner,kudzu 0 0
then I run:
mount -a

After that everything works fine and I can read and write to my windows
drive. The problem is that when I reboot, the fstab file has been re-edited
to delete that line and the directory /mnt/windows has been deleted.

How do I set it up so that the windows directory is always mounted when I
start and unmounted when I shutdown?
