Logging to Win2k server and SAMBA

Hi all,

I have a job scope to do below and was wondering about
the following :

1. When Win98/95/XP users login to the Win2k server,
and get authenticated there, are they also required
to authenticate again at the Linux Server ( SAMBA ) ?

If yes, is there any way to make a Single Sign On
effective without users logging into Linux again ?

Regards

Current environment :

They have a Windows 2000 server installed as a Domain Controller with Active Directory. This server is also use for file and print purpose. All users will logon to this server to authenticate. There are about 140 users that use this server to authenticate and store files. The client PCs are in a range of Windows 95, 98 and XP. They have about 10 printers. This server has around 10 share folders and each users has his own home folders. The total data capacity of the file server is around 10 - 20 GB. Each subfolders may have different security settings. Veritas backup exec is responsible in backing up the data.

Job Scope for implementation and requirement

1) Migrate data from W2K to Linux. Structure of folders and subfolders has to remain exactly the same as while in W2K. The security has to be the same as before as well. User must have home folders as well. Users only want to logon once to W2K server and do not need to login again to connect to Linux. All the mapped drive must be automatically mapped just like when it was in W2K.
