are you running a dhcpd on your machine that other machines need?
if so are you running that deamon?
like I said.. am no expert.. just fallen for this mistake myself :)

Check your routing table and possible firewall problems.
Easiest test is to ping this machine with the address of the LinkSys card from another PC on the LAN and check whether the card responds.
Always take things back to the lowest level first. You say the other PC on the LAN can't get onto the net, but you don't mention whether they can even see the troublesome PC in question.
