This works for me: 1) Edit the file /etc/xinetd.d/telnet and change the line: disable = yes for disable = no 2) Edit the file /etc/securetty and add this: pts/0 pts/1 pts/2 3) Restart the xinetd.d: /etc/init.d/xinetd restart I expect that it can help you. It has the right IP, pingable and doing a chkconfig shows the telnet is on. Running a ntsysv shows me the same. Doing an rpm -qa shows me one telnet package installed. Should a telnet server be installed as well? thanks -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
