Yes you are right. But what if before reboot? I mean if a linux m/c has a address 1.2.3.4 aand is running. Now if i attach a windows m/c in LAN with the ip as 1.2.3.4 then my linux box will not complain nor my attached machine. No warnings from either m/c. Why?
