You would have to write your own script to check the DNS address your machine has after boot up, then write the address to the dhcpd.conf file and then start dns. I don't know of any other way. If you set up named to run on the linux box, you can set your xp clients to use the linux box as their dns and it will resolve names for you. Using named is the much better/easier method. (named is the dns server) -----Original Message----- From: redhat-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:redhat-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of smoke Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2003 8:46 AM To: redhat-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: DNS NAT would it be possible to pass DNS info to xp clients under an iptables masquerade. the ip addresses are manually entered but i'd like to pass on DNS info from the linux box ( which is dynamically allocated.. cable modem ) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
