yeah the src CDs contain the source for all the packages on the binary CDs. for e.g. if you want to the recompile Apache with LDAP Auth Module, you can use the source from the source CDs. If you are going to re-compile a package from the source, I would recommend that you get the latest source tar from the project website, and not use the version on the CDs, which are usually older versions.
