I would like to try this out "non-destructively." Can I have both GNOME and E installed on the same machine? Should I set up another user to test E? Can I have a single user switch back and forth easily...?

Suggestions welcome; I have never touched anything in X and just always used whatever Red Hat gave me as default, despite the amount of work I've done in properly setting up a server on the command line.
