Hi (again),

hmm, in the mean time I found where the start-up script was and put a
link to it from /usr/local/bin (found this on
http://linuxheadquarters.com/howto/apps/acrobat.shtml). However it still
does not work : 

$ acroread
Warning: charset "UTF-8" not supported, using "ISO8859-1".
Aborted
$

All help is welcome.
