Howdy: I would recommend getting Donald Becker's current driver and utility code here: http://www.scyld.com/network/ Check the card info and compile the utility/diagnostic software. It may be that you need to force it into 100/full duplex. I remember having to do that with an older redhat and vortex card (I think it depends on the driver, the hub/switch you're connected to, etc. Bottom line: sometimes n-way auto-negotiation doesn't.
