What error are you talking about? I've scrolled through all posts, but I can't see what you're referring to.

Well, according to what he's done, everything SHOULD work.
What I suggest trying is to rename the cron.allow file to take it out of the equation, then AS ROOT simply type 'crontab -e'.
The only reason I say this is because I have neither a cron.allow nor cron.deny and mine works fine, therefore I'm wondering whether the cron.allow file is not quite right.
