Well, my first take on that is that they are NOT raid-quality drives!!!

The Barracudas certainly aren't, and a quick search says that the WDs
are only for raids 0 or 1.

Dunno what the enclosure does with them, but they are definitely not
recommended for linux raid, and if you put them in a linux box, make
sure you configure the timeout script to run every boot.
