well this discussion is very nice...
but let´s get back to our problem?

we can have data integrity with high cost (for some guys it´s high for
others it doesn´t matter), using 'especial' hardware...
what we can do to get integrity higher with a low cost hardware? any
software solution could gime more data integrity with more CRC or
other method of error check? could we develop it at block device level
(md device)?
i think that´s the point
