Hi, I am using XFS on MD RAID-5 array. I am testing the RAID-5 stability by pulling one drive and then I run filesystem consistency check to see if there is any corruption. There is data loss after I run the xfs_repair commands. My question is, does barrier would help in maintaining the file system integrity in this scenario ? I know barrier is more use-full in the event of power failure. What about the disk failure ? Probably MD should be able to take care of this right. But with XFS I am seeing issue.
