i didn't find their answer to the 3-way mirror request very helpful at 
all:

honestly, there are 3ware engineers reading this mailing list who are more 
likely to understand the problems i had than their front-line support 
will.  and especially when most of my complaints are lacks of features -- 
front-line support just gets baffled.
