Power Saving possible ?

Hi,
I have a server that is rarely accessed, but I would like it to be available
always.

I've searched in FAQs and Google but could not find any good info about
power saving. I'm using software RAID in Linux with IDE HDs connected to a
3ware 7810.

Is there a way of doing some power management on the HDs ?
(Maybe something equivalent to "hdparm -S 242 /dev/hdb1" ?)

Thanks a lot for any help.

Marcello
