raid 5 parity check

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I want to set up a software raid 5 system on Red Hat 8.
Although I believe the parity data is computed correctly initially,
I wonder how one can make sure the parity data will be always correct.

1) Is there a utility to allow me to check parity routinley?

2) How are the parity block redistributed
when you add another disk to raid 5 system?

Thank you in advance for any advice,

Mira
