One problem is you cannot mkraid when the drive is mounted. So I tried using the root+root+boot-raid howto and going from non-raid to raid1. I cannot get it to boot to the floppy after merging the kernel. To install the kernel I just downloaded the kernel-2.4.9-34 and the new modutils-13-0.7 and did an rpm -Uvh and followed that how-to. It installed ok . Here is the error I am getting when I try booting with the floopy after step 4.5. md: export_rdev(hdb5) md: considering hdb1 ... md: adding hdb1 ... md: created md1 md: bind<hdb1,1> md: running: <hdb1> md: hdb1's event counter: 000000002 md: RAID level 1 does not need chunksize!
