Hi there, i have just loaded a 2.4.18 kernel and tried to configure and compiele it. Well that step went ok .... but when I boot the kernel the machine hangs at the partition check of the ide drives. The system is a athlon system on a new gigabyte board and two promise controllers. One Ultra100 and one Ultra100 TX2. Does anyone have ideas what is going wrong?
