You can read all the gory details of my RAID1 setup at http://www.litzinger.com/raid.html Running Redhat 7.1 Linux 2.4.18 lilo 22.2 e2fsprogs 2.7 mdadm 0.7.2 I created a bootable RAID 1 setup and everything works fine. Except, every time I power down the system and bring it back up the system reports that the RAID array is unclean and spends and hour doing a reconstruct. When I issue the command 'poweroff' or 'shutdown -f -h now', I do see some messages about 'Invalidate buffer' or something like like, it flies by just as the power goes off. There might be something meaningful in those last few message but I can't say. -- Brian Litzinger <brian@worldcontrol.com> - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-raid" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
