I'm using grub instead of lilo for my boot loader, it is delightful. However I haven't found anything detailing how to boot straight into the raiddevice like you can in lilo. I've got grub setup just to point into one of the two sides of the mirror (/dev/sda) and I suppose I can change it to point to /dev/sdb in the event of a failure, but I thought someone out there in raid-land has found a more elegant solution.
