Another Promise question

Is there a way to have Promise set the highest possible speed for a drive
by default? Right now, I have to do it with 'hdparm', and I don't like
that, as some drives might react strangly if the hdparm setting is too
hihg.

Currently, the drives connected to the Promise are set to 34 (cat
/proc/ide/hde/settings - current_speed) by default.

The drive, connected to the on-board Serverworks IDE controller
is set to 66 speed (which is also the maximum supported by the Serverworks
driver so far) by default.
