FYI, Promise release a new BIOS for Ultra100TX2. The biggest news is 48 bit LBA support for drives over 137GB, but in my case it also helped with some other issues (such as a weird PC BIOS error beep code just before booting - one long and two short beeps). I guess it had something to do with tow Promise cards working together.
