Hi folks,
Hope you're all safe and well in these absurd times. I've just rolled out the first release candidate for 15.0.

tarball: https://www.freedesktop.org/software/pulseaudio/releases/pulseaudio-14.99.1.tar.xz
sha256: 9d4612665e8023bb71575fdf744c5530bc227979ec257bc5651b9c5d1b91c2ee

This is probably going to be the largest set of changes in a single release in a very long time. A non-comprehensive set of highlights include:

 * Support for more Bluetooth A2DP codecs, higher quality with SBC, and absolute volume
 * Native HFP implementation for better headset compatibility and call audio quality using the mSBC codec
 * New messaging API for clients to send messages to PulseAudio objects
 * Autotools build dropped in favour of meson
 * Rewrite of the virtual surround sink
 * Much improved win32 support
 * Improved support for a bunch of devices (docks, and USB headsets and interfaces)
 * A number of long-standing FreeBSD patches merged
 * Some new pactl getter commands for easier scripting
 * Many many translation, bug fixes, and other improvements

This is obviously a lot, so please test and report any problems in the usual places. We may have a late-breaking fix for HDMI devices being automatically selected after a suspend/resume cycle, but other than that, there should not be anything big before 15.0.

Early and incomplete release notes are here, and contributions to filling this in are welcome: https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/Notes/15.0/

Cheers!
Arun
