"Unable to convert error string to locale, filtering." errors

My Buildroot linux was *not *build with libiconv, but instead with some
sort of build-in "locale/i8n" support.
This could be a possible cause. I'm now creating a new system wherein I
reverse this (with libiconv, without the build-in stuff).

I don't know why that ISO-8859-1 locale is generated, I left most Buildroot
settings to default concerning locales..
I have no LANG setting.

I'll report back today if I make it, or in a month ;-) as I'll be away from
my keyboard for a while.
