A side note about this patch: The PulseAudio wiki pages that list OS
ports do not include GNU Hurd. PulseAudio itself doesn't seem to have
any issues on Hurd, at least in my simple desktop usage. I've been
using it over the last few months for e.g. videos in Firefox, games in
Higan, playlists in EMMS, etc. If you want to try it yourself, I've
uploaded a small program that implements /dev/audio for the Solaris
module at:

    https://github.com/dm0-/hurd-rump-audio

So maybe Hurd could also be included in the lists of OS ports?

Thanks.

David
