I've also added "description-key = analog-output-headphones" to the stereo path file, because this key already exists in alsa-mixer.c. I suggest adding "analog-output-headphones-mono" for the mono device (updated the patch). > I see you're using auto-profiles. That will prevent simultaneous use of > the mono and stereo outputs. Did you try the manual profile that I > suggested in my previous mail? Yes, you are correct. Adding this profile makes it possible to select and use the mono output separately. Adding this in addition to auto-profiles works very well (if auto-profiles is turned off, the result is confusing and doesn't work; I tried many combinations of my own profiles, but gave up). I tested the result with Discord. In Gnome sound settings, I selected "Headphones - Steelseries Arctic 7" and the profile that was automatically selected was "Analog mono output + Analog stereo output + Analog mono input". In Discord, I selected "Steelseries Arctis 7 Analog mono headset". Now while playing some music in stereo, I was chatting in Discord. On the headset, I could adjust the stereo volume and mono (chat) volume separately with the dedicated wheels.
