Disable channels of multi-channel devices in profile mapping

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I'm writing a profile for a multi-channel USB-Audio interface. It has
different input/output channel types (mic, line, S/PDIF) but they are
all exposed as one multi-channel device by ALSA.

The current workaround is to use e.g.

channel-map =
front-left,front-right,rear-left,rear-right,front-center,aux6,aux7,aux8,aux9,aux10

to disable channels 6-10 (aux6-aux10). The channels are not used, but
shown e.g. in pavucontrol. Is there any other way to disable channels
completely in a profile mapping?

Thanx for any help,

Renne
