The patches were merged, and manual inspection of the path files
indicates that analog-output should be detected as a subset of
analog-output-lineout.

Hmm, looking at cards.txt now, analog-output is only part of profiles
with the analog-surround-21 mapping. It seems that unlike other surround
mappings, analog-surround-21 doesn't contain the analog-output-lineout
path. I don't see any reason why there should be mismatch between 2.1
and other surround mappings, so either analog-output-lineout should be
added to analog-surround-21 or removed from the other surround profiles.
I'm not sure which would be better. If I had to choose, I'd add it to
analog-surround-21, because I haven't heard any problems regarding the
lineout path in the other surround mappings.
