I have looked. According to that bug, I am supposed to add this line:

         "USB Device 0x46d:0x821" 999

However, this doesn't work. I think that the other USB Device 0x46d:??? 
entry does not work either.

I strongly suspect (but won't say "confirm" because it's late night here 
and I can't think clearly enough) that it is because of the ":" in the 
middle. Indeed, ":" is a separator between some name and arguments in 
the asoundrc syntax.
