However the native SDL game still does have the cracky sound. Any other ideas? > What device do you use? Mine is integrated in my Logitec G110 keyboard, and lsusb says that it's a C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM108 Audio Controller. (I use it via the digital interface, IEC958)
