sort of; A8 and A9 are different wrt NEON, the optimization rules changed

I have see it ; for now I have decided to submit the tests next to the 
code; it is difficult to get access to the actual functions since most are 
static

I agree that the tests should be separate and have a consistent framework 
(e.g. to measure timing with mean/stddev, etc.)
