just as a note. I also heard that argument on #harmattan (the
MeeGo/Maemo based distribution for the N900 and N9). Also due to
political issues with Jaroslav one ALSA?s maintainer currently they
implement a new program called ACI [1] for SHR a distribution for
OpenMoko based on OpenEmbedded [3].

I am too inexperienced and not knowledgeable enough to comment on the
issue. I just hope you will be able to work together and wish you the
best to fix these bugs.
