I've recently finally decided to test pulseaudio 1.0 pre-release. I have two minor complaints about pavucontrol version that comes with it: - as I wrote in my earlier post (or was it a bug report ?) awhile ago, I consider it a bit of a misdesign for a gui app to use g_debug to report things *to console*, which aren't even a misconfiguration case (I refer to the "DEBUG: Failed to initialize device manager extension" warning printed if the extension isn't loaded, even though it *is* present) - I've got an old mic, that's connected just by an audio jack; similar to the problem reported in August, while the mic is working (as such hardware simply *can't* be suspended), pavucontrol seems to regard it as suspended and just draws a frozen volume bar on the "Input devices" tab If you want to address any of this, CC me on the replies.
