Per-app flat volume adjustment is highly unintuitive, if mathematically consistent.

Slightly off-topic: is there a way to keep the flat-volume behavior but
with 100% software volume handling ?

Rationale : my intel_hda makes awful crackling sounds with some volume
combinations (especially when PCM is at 0%).

Thoughts ?

Cheers
