pjsua multiline MESSAGE

It looks like according to e.g. RFC 3428 a SIP MESSAGE (conveying
instant messages) may contain multiple lines of text.

How to send multiline messages by 'pjsua', as of stable release 2.1.0?

Does the recent CLI-version pjsua support multiline MESSAGEs?

In particular, I applied svn-r4440 diffs to 'stable release 2.1.0' in
order to have CLI support in stable pjsua; it works great but the
question remains: is there a method how to enter and send multiline
MESSAGES, something like

    im send_im sip:192.168.2.100 "A quick brown \
    fox jumps over \
    the lazy dog"

or something similar?

Thanks,
