What is the best GUI platform to make a softphone

Thanks for information.
Target platform is Windows.

Between MFC and WxWidget, which one is preferable , and if you do not mind,
pls write advantages of one over other.

Does WxWidget depend on Visual studio environment or WxWidget a standalone
environment.
