Audio record/playback problem!

Hello,

I am using a pc2pc call environment with Ubuntu 10.04 platform.
The end-to-end audio at local/remote ends are not heard.
Then, I followed the documentation to test the audio device. For one PC it
works fine and the loopback record/playback is successful and I am able to
hear my sound.
But, the other PC is not successful and no sound is heard back. The
playback part is working fine and I have tested it also. So, there must be
some problem in the recording part.
The console messages are as follows:

Though it gives Success message but no sound is heard back.
Pls help to solve this issue!
