echo cancellation

I used the 1.6 pjsua . I cannot make the echo cancellation work. Does  
anyone have the same problem ? Also, the echo cancellation is for the  
speaker ( so my side does not hear echo)  or the microphone (so, the  
other side do not hear the echo) or both ?
