Hi Benny, I think my test was totally wrong ... I did the test using the command "time" and the result was encouraging: real 4m 10.24s user 0m 0.09s sys 0m 11.48s I apologize for the confusion created. Again you solved the problem, you are my idol ..... :-))))) Cheers Cesar
