Installing the symbian_ua_urel application in a S60product phone

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

	Thanks for your answer.

The phone is already configured to accept all kind of applications, no matter they are signed or not (:-/=

The phone uses S60 3.1 edition (it's an E71). Could it be that the stack doesn't work with that?

And about that certificate. I haven't done it before, but I think I could apply. However:

	- Do you have to apply for "finished" applications? I mean, can I apply and still modify the application afterwards.
	- Any idea of how long does it take?
	(I'll check the webpage though)

	Thanks a lot!

For now, you need to configure your Symbian phone to accept unsigned and self-signed applications.

If you are a developer, you can apply for a certificate st symbiansigned.com.

In the future we may release a properly signed pre-compiled binary, but to do this we have to pass the full Symbian Signed etc, which is technically quite challenging.

		       Hi all,

I compiled the whole stack and managed to run the example application in the S60 emulator. Then I managed to create the sis file out of it (a 315KB sis file including hopefully all the libraries).

However, when I tried to install it in a S60 product phone (a very new model, with the latest Symbian version), it says that I have some certificate problem. I tried to sign the application but I got the same problem.

Can it be installed in a common S60 product phone?

		       Thanks in advance!
