I just did it again, to be sure (downloaded the source anew, recompile, etc..)
I have no F7 shortcut, I used F6 to rebuild the project.
And, mmhh.. it builds!...
Strange...
(The 1st time Itried to build the DirectX SDK was not installed, maybe that's why?)
Anyway, I'll investigate that later, 1 weel of holiday is upon me!...

- download pjproject-0.9.zip
- open pjproject-0.9.0/pjproject-vs8.sln in VS 2005
- create an empty pjlib/include/pj/config_site.h
- press F7 (Build Solution)
and everything builds fine. So I wonder what you did differently that makes it failed.
