Customization Symbian_ua to Symbian_ua_gui

What about UIQ? Why  *Symbian_ua_gui* doesn't run on UIQ ? what is needed to
run it in on UIQ.
Another question is why i can't  open  application.uidesign,
symbian_ua_guiContainer.uidesign    and
symbian_ua_guiSettingItemList.uidesign  through carbide.c++ v1.3(Express Ed)
