how to make PHP SOAP more resilient

Hi,

Anyone know what factors I can tweak to make PHP 5's SOAP modules  
more resilient?  (E.g. server timeouts, etc?)

I am using SOAP to connect to the Google and MSN search API's, but I  
*often* get fatal errors.
