I haven't come across the need to set any attributes yet, so I think
you're the pioneer here. :) Sorry.

Have you looked at the test files in ext/soap/tests/schema to see if
those are working correctly and, if so, how the WSDL there differs
from yours?

Maybe this specific configuration isn't covered under the test suite,
so ext/soap is not working correctly in this case? (This is what I
hate about SOAP, the spec is so large, it's hard to know if you've
implemented all of it correctly.)
