element handling in schema

I'm still poking around, but it looks like the current schema 
implementation (and corresponding serialization via SoapVar's) does not 
correctly handle <attribute> or <attributeGroup> nodes, causing them to 
be rendered in the serialized XML as nodes and not attributes.  Am I 
just crazy?
