SOAP Client call method and php4.2.2

Hi,

Quick question:  I'm running PHP 4.2.2 and when I invoke the
SOAP_Client::call method, it says I can't pass by reference for argument
2. 

This a php4.2.2 issue or a bug in PEAR SOAP?
