Question - if I stop MySql using WinMySqladmin on NT4.0, will I be able to completely backup the data directory or do I need to do something else? This is a commercial application that I need to backup, so it's mighty darned important.
I don't think PHP can stop MySQL... oh.. I see what you want... ;)
Yes. Stopping MySQL will allow you to back up or copy the data directories.
