If you are asking a question like this, however, you need to know more about relational databases. So please check the MySQL site for tutorials, and also google for something like "mysql tutorial" or "relational database tutorial".
There's no way around it, you will have to ground yourself in some database fundamentals, and work through some examples to get a feel for how things are supposed to behave. Not difficult, and some people even think it's fun.
After that, please work through some basic PHP/MySQL tutorials; then you'll be ready to take on the world. You can find these on the PHP home page.
Estimated time, really playing at it and making things break in addition to just doing things that work, about 3 days.
