Hi, MS Visual studio 2003 has a Load testing tool. Application center something. Long back i tried it on 3 of our applications. One in dot net, other using php classes and another using only php functions. All of these have similar concept and are deployed on IIS 6, PHP 5.2.1. To my surprise dot net app was serving 15-20 requests per second. php classes app was serving 40-50 rps. php functions app was serving 60-70 rps !! What are the experiences of people working with Apache? Is it effective in serving many requests per second? Is there any free testing tool, which I can use in place of VS2003?
